We are aware of some problems getting messages from any email account @granite.mb.ca to mymts.net (as well as hotmail.com, live.com, and any other domain associated with hotmail servers).
** UPDATE **
Our tests show that the problem has been resolved.
** END UPDATE **
We have been informed that the granite.mb.ca email issue should be resolved within 24-48 hours.
From Microsoft support:
(The Granite mail server) is being blocked based on the recommendations of Symantec’s Brightmail filters.
After reviewing the information we provided, they have taken steps to remove the block. This change should take effect within the next 24-48 hours.
We are following up with Symantec to determine the exact reason for their listing of our server in the first place, as well as attempting to ensure that it does not get re-listed.
In the mean-time, if you are still using an email account @granite.mb.ca, we can move you over to a new email address on our new server (@nlis.ca) which will effectively fix the problem as our new server is not affected.
Some of the other benefits of moving to our new server are:
– file attachments up to 50MB per message
– default mailbox size of 1GB
– control of your own password
– control of your spam settings
– forwarding and external account checking
– improved webmail interface
If you would like to be moved over to an email address @nlis.ca, we can forward any messages from your old account to the new account as well so that you will not have to notify your contacts of the change.
Please contact us in order to get your new email address setup and we can help you configure the new settings.
